What is OnLive?

OnLive is Business Canterbury’s flexible online learning format. It’s designed for busy professionals who want practical, expert-led training without leaving the workplace.

Live and interactive: Delivered in real time via Microsoft Teams, with small cohorts for discussion and coaching.

Modular and flexible: You can choose one module, a combination of two or three, or complete the full series — whatever fits your schedule and priorities.

Action-focused: Each 90-minute session delivers three powerful leadership concepts, two practical tools, and one action you can apply the same day, built locally from Canterbury business insights and facilitated live in small, interactive cohorts.

This format will be used across different topics, starting with our pilot: Leadership OnLive, giving businesses targeted learning when and where they need it most.

Shape your learning journey: choose a single module to sharpen a skill, combine two or three for targeted growth, or complete the full four-module series for a comprehensive leadership boost.

Each 90-minute session delivers three powerful leadership concepts, two practical tools, and one action you can apply the same day, built locally from Canterbury business insights and facilitated live in small, interactive cohorts.

 

Module 1: Focusing on the Leadership Role

  • Explore the differences between management and leadership

  • Understand the four stages of team performance and your role at each stage

  • Learn how to balance task, team, and individual priorities

Included resources: PDF workbook and downloadable templates for every tool.
Delivery: Live online via Microsoft Teams.
Cohort size: Up to 10 participants.
Support: Administration and participant support for the full programme.
