When it comes to managing performance or addressing misconduct do you feel outside your comfort zone, afraid to make a wrong step? This one day course supports managers to gain clarity and confidence to address issues of performance and misconduct head on.

By the end of this course, you will understand and have a better awareness of: 

  • The performance management process

  • How to improve and maintain staff performance

  • Conducting performance interviews

  • Dealing with misconduct and serious misconduct

  • Raising allegations of misconduct

  • Conducting disciplinary meetings and managing dismissals

  • The paperwork process required to notify, record and confirm

  • How to manage risks when dealing with disciplinary issues

  • How to comply with good faith and meet the test of justification

  • Dealing with personal grievances

  • Resolving employment relationship problems (such as exiting strategies and mediation)
